I believe in a world of opposites and that’s why I avoid people with rigid and inflexible personalities. In friendship I dislike the lack of loyalty and betrayal. I do not get along with those who do not know how to give a compliment or a word of encouragement. Exaggerations bore me and I have difficulty accepting those who do not like animals. And on top of everything I have no patience for anyone who does not deserve my patience."

Incredibly directed, amazingly acted by Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones (I hope they both win every award this season) and the last 2 minutes of the film - about time, life's collage of moments, love and with the music - for me it was life changing (as was the entire film). 

It makes me feel thankful, appreciative, happy and blessed about my life and what I am able to do on a daily basis, and all my loved ones who are a part of my journey. Even those who don't have what I do - can do the same - if not even more than me - and that is truly incredibly and amazing. The human spirit is stronger than anything.
Do not take time for granted - each moment is precious - enjoy each moment of your life, and live in the moment 

Like Professor Hawking says "There should be no boundaries to human endeavor. We are all different. However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. While there's life, there is hope."

2 years ago - Nov 10, 2012, my then-boyfriend proposed to me and I became a fiancee, and a year and 3 months later, a wife! Meet my Olivia - Mercedes Benz!

First there was George (named after Clooney), my 1999 teal Honda Civic, with whom I spent high school, college, and the first half of my twenties (all good times and memories!!!), but I eventually left him in California with my parents, when I moved to New York. He is still going strong! Now there is Olivia, my 2014 Mercedes Benz Sports Car. She is the strong, fierce, smart, fearless, professional, leader, BOSS – just like me hehe, who takes me around New York :-) This is my wedding gift and new job gift from my hubby :-) And I am blaming Need for Speed – the movie and Xbox game – that got me into sports cars (well maybe I should blame my hubby then haha!!!) Yayyy!!! Super excited!!! :-)

Happy India Independence Day! :-) I spent it shopping for new work clothes and shoes for my new job YAY! :-) This week I also hung out on top of the world (thank you Christina Poopatana) with a front row view of the Empire State. What a blast! :-)

life changes

Today I have a mix of emotions. Firstly, sad to hear of Robin Williams passing. :-( What an incredible talent and amazing comedian. Rest in peace. 

Secondly, I am celebrating 6 years together (August 12th) with the love of my life, my husband as well as six months of being married (August 16th). So that is blissful and wonderful in each moment :-) 

And thirdly, I accepted an incredible new job at an amazing hospital & medical center, for which I am super happy, thankful, blessed, humbled, and ready to be a part of inspiring healthcare, positive change & growth :-)

birdie

Yesterday I saw a little birdie in our driveway. Hours later, it was just chillin. It wouldn't fly away; it only hopped around. It was so cute. I put bread crumbs and water in the driveway for it. Later it got hot outside, and birdie was sitting in a small patch of shade, so we brought it inside the garage. I started to get attached and wanted to take care of it. We put it in a padded box with food and water. It seemed fine and slept off and on, and chirped as well. Then we called the Wildlife Org in NY to find out what we should do. She asked if we could bring the bird by and we did, but she said it had died because something had attacked the bird and that's why it sat in our driveway and didn't fly. It had a crushing injury I told her it was flapping around just minutes earlier, but maybe that was his or her last breaths :-( I cried for 2 hours. I never have had a pet nor rescued any animal or anything, let alone see one die in front of me, so it was a new/sad experience for me, but now I want to get a pet. My brother has a dog that I see once or twice a year and absolutely love, so maybe my turn too now. RIP birdie :-(
