strength

No matter how tough you are, no matter how much self worth, confidence, esteem and respect you have for yourself, and no matter how many walls you put up to protect yourself, to stay safe, and keep people out, sometimes it gets tiring of being so tough. And there are some days, some moments, when all you want is someone, any one person in your life, who loves you and cares about you, to just be there for you, to just talk to you, to just hold you. And keep holding you. And instead of feeling afraid like you do all the other times in your life when you want to let your guard down but you don't, this time you feel safe.
And in that moment, everything is okay, and everything else will be okay. And you remind yourself of that feeling for those times when you are on your own, or alone, or concentrating so hard on being independent and tough, to keep yourself from being vulnerable or getting hurt. But I think sometimes letting your guard down and making yourself vulnerable is actually the strongest thing you can do, and bravest part of your character.

"You don't have to be tough of every minute of every day. It's okay to let down your guard. In fact, there are moments when that is the best thing to do."
